A safe, alcohol free, no smoking night of urban sounds for 13 to 17-year-olds is being staged on Friday March 5th at The Charlotte on Oxford Street, Leicester.

Giveaways and pure Leicester youth talent, MCs, DJ’s, Beat Box, and the winners of Leicester’s best dance crew will come together from 7.30pm until 10.30pm to entertain the crowds.

Guest artists include: Bossman, Aimz, Ekko, Krishna, Morgan, Matthew R Richards, Twisted Pennys, Mierous Hennessy, Nat Nat, K.Y, 2Crew 4U, Daydream, Tantrum, Dash, Livewire, Poetical So and DJ Cam.

Entry is by ticket only. Tickets are free and can be obtained from 2Funky in Belgrave Gate, Leicester.

Organised by the School Development Support Agency and supported by the Leicester NHS Quit! Smoking team, this event is designed to promote the benefits of quitting smoking, or even better, not starting in the first place.

The flyers for the event showcase a startling quote from a tobacco company executive at J. R, Reynolds “We just sell it. We just reserve the right to smoke for the young, the poor, the black and the stupid.”

For more information, artist images and media opportunities on the night, please contact Alan Curtis or Juliet Martin at the School Development Support Agency on 0116 2995977.
