ABBA Reunion To Rock Mallory Park Next Week

Some tickets are still available for a special charity performance by the UK’s No1 ABBA tribute band, ABBA Reunion at Mallory Park this August.

Following the amazing success of last year’s event featuring Queen tribute act The Bohemians, which raised over £15,000 for charity, another spectacular open-air concert is planned at the venue next Saturday (August 7th).

With some fantastic events taking place at Mallory Park within the next month, it promises to be a very busy few weeks for the ‘friendly circuit’, which is renowned as a spectator circuit thanks to its sloping grassy banks that enable spectators to see all the action.

The ABBA Reunion Charity Concert is just one of the events. ABBA Reunion are the creation of the director, producer and choreographer of the award winning ABBA Mania Musical, starring original members from the official London West End cast.

Following a successful run in London’s West End Strand Theatre and after a phenomenal 4 year European Tour selling out theatres, stadiums and concert halls, this award winning ABBA tribute accurately perform one of the most requested tribute shows in the world.

ABBA Reunion gives ABBA fans, old and new, the opportunity to once again get together and re-live the addictive ABBA phenomena that swept the airwaves and discos during the 70’s and 80’s.

With such an accomplished band, and the massive appeal of ABBA to all ages, ticket sales for this event have soared. Although having a large site, Mallory Park has limited the number of tickets that will be available, and are expecting the event to be a sell-out – so get your tickets early!

Gates open at 6pm for people to arrive early and picnic in the grounds or enjoy the thrills of the large Appleton’s family funfair. Pre-show and interval entertainment will be provided by a professional event DJ, with a 70’s themed DISCO it’s hoped partygoers will get in the mood by wearing their 70’s fancy dress.

There will be free parking at the event and picnics are allowed. Other facilities include a Large Appleton’s Family Funfair, with rides for all age groups, numerous licensed bars, hot foot stands and disabled parking.

Event Organiser, Rob Bryant, 44, from nearby Kirkby Mallory, himself a victim of spinal cord injury suffered in a motorcycle accident, said: “If you like ABBA, you’ll love ABBA Reunion. They’re so close to the real thing, and perform a fantastic show. Everyone’s guaranteed a brilliant night, and with tickets already selling fast, we’re hoping to make another notable donation to the charity.”

Gates open from 6pm on the day. Tickets cost £15 per person or £20 on the gate and free for children under 12 (maximum 2 children per adult). All proceeds will go to Spinal Research.

Advance tickets are available by calling 01455 842931. You can also buy online at: www.mallorypark.co.uk or visit the Mallory Park Ticket Office.
