Next week, on 27th, 28th and 29th July, 60 young people will rehearse a 4 minute Glee-themed dance routine at Leicester City’s Walkers Stadium with top West End choreographers.
The troop will then travel to Twickenham, the home of rugby, on August 14th to perform during the Middlesex 7s Rugby Tournament, the biggest rugby charity event in Europe. The Leicester Tigers and the England rugby team are both expected to play some part on the day.
Earlier this year, a group of dancers performed with Alexandra Burke at the Wasps vs Bath St George’s Day fixture in front of 65,000 spectators. Around half of these young people are returning for the new project.
The dance project has been organised by the Foxes Learning Centre, Pro-Excel and Leicester City Council, and is part of the Rex Hall Associates ‘Performing for Success’ initiative.
There are still a few places remaining, so if you are aged between 13 and 16-years-old, attend a Leicester City school and are available on all 4 days, send an email to foxeslearning@me.com including your name and school.
