Leicester Squash Club, based on London Road will be holding an open day on Saturday September 18th to encourage more local people to see the facilities on offer and get involved with the sport.

The day will run from 10am until 4pm and open sessions will be available in squash, racketball, Pilates and junior squash. Club coaches will also be on hand for individual or group sessions and to provide general advice.

The club’s Squash Development Officer, Linda Taylor, is looking forward to the open day.

“Leicester Squash Club has recently been awarded a grant from England Squash and Racketball which enables us to extend our premises and include a full show court. The expansion will allow the club to host Professional Squash Association matches, hold more county matches and forums, and host demonstration games involving international players.

“To publicise these plans and to show the local community what a great club Leicester Squash Club is, we have decided to open the doors so people can see what’s going on for themselves!”
