Leicester City were forced to rue missed chances on Saturday afternoon, as Peterborough United came from behind to salvage a point at King Power Stadium.
The hosts had numerous chances to take the lead in the first half, with Jermaine Beckford seeing one effort deflect off the upright before Sean St. Ledger powered a header goalwards, only for Posh ‘keeper Joe Lewis to save well.
City did take the lead at the start of the second half, with Paul Gallagher linking up well with David Nugent before seeing his deflected strike find the back of the net, however Posh were on level terms just over ten minutes later, when former City trainee Lee Tomlin powered his free header into the bottom corner of Kasper Schmeichel’s goal to give the London Road side a share of the spoils.
Leicester City head to Doncaster Rovers this weekend, before returning to King Power Stadium on Boxing Day, where they take on Ipswich Town.
